Cruz Traded to Trailblazers

The Trappers have traded 2006 Goaltender Dwayne-Paul Cruz to the Port Coquitlam Trailblazers for a Player Development Fee and Future Considerations.

DPC spent the better part of two seasons with the Trappers coming from the Langley Hockey Academy. He is a solid goaltender and a great personality on and off the ice. The decision to move Dwayne stems from the Trappers having three goaltenders and feeling it is time to move one for the better development of all. Dwayne is a starting goaltender in the league and deserves to play starting minutes. The Trappers remain with Korbin Rodel and Beckham Brossard, both league rookies but two years and a year younger respectively.

Dwayne appeared in 39 games for the Trappers over two seasons finishing his time with the club with a 14-16-0 record, a 2024-2025 All-Star bid, a 3.38 Goals Against Average, a 0.896 Save Percentage, four accredited assists, and three posted shutouts.

The Langley Trappers wish Dwayne-Paul Cruz all the best with his new team and thank him for his contributions to the club over the past two years. He will truly be missed!
