The Langley Trappers have acquired 2007 forward Finlay Johnston from the Swan Valley Stampeders of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. Johnston appeared in 23 games for the Stampeders tallying 3 Goals and 5 Assists for 8 Points. Johnston is a Langley resident who has played for Langley Hockey Academy the last few seasons with the likes of Landon and Liam Pue, who Johnston was line-mates with last season finishing runners up in the JPHL playoffs.
“He has attended our training camp the past two seasons and made an instant impression on our staff” mentioned Bakken when asked how the team acquired Finlay. “He is a solid two way hockey player who can skate well and move the puck. We are excited to see how he integrates with the team and who he will find chemistry with”. Finlay has practices a couple of times with the team and is set to make his Trappers debut November 28th versus the Ridge Meadows Flames.
Welcome to the Trappers Finlay!
