ROOKIE OF THE YEAR CARUSO

Awarded to the player who made a large impact in his first season as a member of the Langley Trappers. He was a beneficiary of the team systems using them to his advantage to find open ice. He looked comfortable in high pressure situations and wanted the puck on his stick or at least, to be involved in the play. He proved to be an important piece when battling for loose pucks anywhere on the ice often extending plays because of his ability to get pucks out of tight situations. He is able to read shots and find rebounds in the slot often with yawning nets to shoot at. He skates fast, shoots hard, and wants to win. He was a Power-play mainstay, when he got his opportunity he never looked back. He can play the game with ruggedness and doesn’t slow or disappear when the going gets tough. He appeared in 40 games scoring 14 Goals and 24 Assists for 38 Regular Season Points.

The 2026 Rookie of the Year Award goes to #23 Ethan Caruso!
