The Langley Trappers are pleased to announce the commitment of 2006 Forward Ian Burns from the Cloverdale Colts Minor Hockey Association.
Burns is a strong offensive threat with a knack for finding the puck around the offensive net. He was a leading points producer on his u18 team last season. He affiliated with the Trappers last season, being a mainstay at practices while appearing in the final game of the season against the Abbotsford Pilots. “Burns is a competitor” said coach Pedersen. “He is both a playmaker and a shooter. He wants the puck and will work relentlessly to get it”. Burns enjoys playing fast. His speed is an asset and his willingness to go into the corners is admirable. He doesn’t shy away from physically, instead embraces the moment. We are looking forward to his overall hockey sense helping us win games this season.
Comparables: Burns has similar traits to Trappers Alumni Lleyton Shearon.
Welcome to the Trappers Ian!
