Two Traps Selected for All-Star Game

Langley Trappers goaltender #30 Dwayne Paul Cruz has been selected to the Pacific Junior Hockey League All-Star Game for the Harold Brittain Conference in his rookie season. Cruz joined the Trappers after a year with the Langley Leafs Academy under head coach Bobby Henderson. Cruz has pushed himself all season and has earned his accolades. He is a glue character in the dressing room always appearing with a smile on his face and a work ethic which pushes him as well as his teammates. Cruz has appeared in 18 games this season earning an official record of 7 Wins and 6 Loses at the time this article was written. Cruz has achieved a 2.84 Goals Against Average and a .904 Goals Against Average.

Langley Trappers Captain #7 Justin Sumners has been selected to represent the Harold Brittain Conference in the Pacific Junior Hockey League All-Star game. Sumners is in his third season with the Trappers by way of the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds in the British Columbia Elite Hockey League U18 team. Sumners has appeared in 34 games at the time this article was written tallying 6 Goals, 15 Assists for 21 Points. Over his three seasons in the PJHL Sumners has appeared in 123 Games, scoring 12 Goals and 47 Assists for 59 Points. He has also accumulated 121 Penalties in Minutes over his career. Sumners is a great teammate and symbolizes what it means to be a Trappers.
