VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR PETERS

This season we thought it fitting to award two volunteers because of their contributions throughout the season. Both stepped up in big ways and this individual spent a lot of time
helping the team and the players prepare for practices and games. He woke up early and stayed late after the players left. He watched and learned the standards and the way the staff did things such as set the dressing room for practices and games. It didn’t take long for him to be trusted to
do laundry; the towels, the under-gear, the jerseys and the socks. He would keep inventory of tape, Gatorade, pucks, and bottles. He took pride in making the environment for the players welcoming and clean. He even tried his hand at sharpening skates… once. He truly showed his passion for the game and for the team this season. He grew in responsibility as the season progressed and learned a lot of life lessons along the way. Rylan, The team thanks you for your efforts this season and we hope you learned leadership, responsibility, and the lesson of selflessness along the way. The second Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to Rylan Peters.
