Thank You for a Great 2023-2024 Season!

The Langley Trappers would like to thank the players, parents, volunteers, fans and everyone who came to support our team throughout the season.

The Trappers finished the regular season with 25 Wins, 17 loses, 3 overtime losses, 3 shootout losses, 1 overtime win, and two shootout wins. Add the points up to a 56 point season, a third place finish in the Harold Brittain Conference and a 7th place finish in the league. The 3rd place finish in the division birthed the Trappers to a 7th consecutive playoff appearance in the teams brief 7-year history.

Big proponents of the teams success goes to Mason Russell, 2006 born second year player who led the team in scoring and points with 25 Goals, 21 Assists for 46 Points. Mason has played two seasons for the club bringing his career totals to 81 Games Played, 31 Goals, 24 Assists and 55 Points. Patrick Coopman, 2005 born second year player also had a solid season for the Trappers putting up 11 Goals and 25 Assists for 36 Points in 46 Games Played bringing his career totals to 23 goals, 38 Assists for 61 Points in 88 Games Played. Samuel Brown, 2005 born second year player also stepped into a large role for the team this season. Brown found the back of the net 16 times while gathering 15 Assists for 31 Points on the campaign. Added to his rookie season totals, Sam has 22 Goals, 18 Assists, for 40 Points in 71 Games Played in a Trappers Uniform.

All of this achieved in what the staff called a ‘rebuild year’, seeing the roster comprised of 17 rookies to start the season while finishing with 14 rookies. The Trappers rostered eight, 2006 birth year rookies and two 2006 birth year vets bringing the total to ten 2006 aged players. The Trappers also rostered one, 2007 birth year rookie, and three, 2005 birth year rookies. All this youth averaged the team to 17.75 years of age making the team the youngest in the league and also the youngest Jr. A tier II team in the province of British Columbia. This is something the coaching staff is excited about and looking forward to build upon into next season.

The Langley Trappers would like to thank their two graduating players:

148 Regular Season Games Played, 43 Goals, 57 Assists totalling 100 Points and 27 Playoff games with 3 Goals, 7 Assists totalling 10 Playoff points over 5 years in the league.
